I had been learning about Australia for so long that I literally dreamt about landing there for the first time. After a 7h turbulent overnight flight, the moment wasn’t quite really like the dream, but it still felt warm, very bright and exciting. It was everything I expected and probably more. I loved the coast(s), the relaxed lifestyle and how the green mixes with the yellow and the blue. I loved the blue. And the brown. Even the grey!
Being on the other side of the world, I found a few blue and green landscapes that reminded me of Portugal and Spain. At the same time, the food transported me back to Asian countries like Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, etc. The culture kept the UK and USA on my mind too. But I never, ever forgot that I was in Australia. (Years: 2018 and 2019)
