Cambodia is just as beautiful as it is hard. During my stay in this country, I learned about their dramatic history and how the country has been struggling to develop ever since. It really had an impact on me, especially knowing their neighbour Vietnam. It is interesting to see different countries, so close to each other can feel like parallel universes. Harsh realities and contrasts that are sometimes hard to swallow.
Cambodia has beautiful natural and man-made landscapes to offer to its visitors. Ancient live and stone monuments to the lucky gods and their protégés that seem to get even more impressive as the time runs through them. A country that left me with a shrunken heart and feasting eyes.
