While living in the United Kingdom, I worked as a freelance videographer for make-up artists, fashion photographers and international fashion magazines. It was a new and unexplored world to me, and that was an opportunity to create my own method and style. During those years, while I toured the country with some great industry professionals, I discovered unreal locations and stories. Capturing fashion is all about how the little details can make a big difference and something that sounded like a very abstract and crazy idea ends up making total sense. It was a great learning experience that I am definitely ready to repeat. (Years: 2012 to 2015)
Lake Swim
Lake Swim is a photoshoot video for a fashion magazine. We were a team of 6 people, driving for 4 around hours from different places of the UK, to meet in this secluded lake where we would spend a few hours shooting. The weather suited most of us just perfect and the landscape was so awesome that we ended up staying longer and doing a couple more looks. The final result was a success.

Hard Look
Hard Look is a video for a very popular make-up artist based in Bradford. She wanted to promote a few new party looks and kick-start her new website and social networks with a powerful video. It is one of the first fashion videos I’ve ever shot and edited. The set was pretty much improvised and the space didn’t allow a lot of lightning options, so I was a bit nervous. I was trying to understand how a make-up session and shoot worked, trying to find my own space, way and look, but I think that restlessness is also a part of why I ended up enjoying it so much. I loved being there, shooting it and editing was also a lot of fun. After that, we started shooting new looks every two weeks or so. Casual looks, party looks, and bridal. She was the first make-up artist in the North of England to use videos to promote her looks and it was a success.

Forest Doll
Forest Doll is a video I shot for a Manchester based fashion magazine back in 2014. They were doing a special online feature with two new and promising artists from the area. One of them was a very young and already popular make-up artist and the other had just broken the market with her own jewel brand. That month’s issue of the magazine was about fantasy, so we came up with this surreal situation of a human doll waking up in the woods, surrounded by jewels. The weather was so much better than we expected, the location was just perfect and we the whole team really enjoyed the shoot and the results.

Zukreat
Zukreat is a video I shot for a London based Asian fashion magazine back in 2014. They were doing a special online feature with Zukreat, a very popular London based professional Hair & Make-up artist who has worked for the likes of Chanel, Christian Dior & MAC and was now teaching her craft. The video also featured the jewels of a Manchester based artist who was getting really big in the industry. The model was wearing a very modern full Asian bridal look and the central London multitude wouldn’t stop gathering around us.

She was having a very important feature photoshoot for a magazine to showcase her latest work and needed a video to summarise the process. The chiq Asian look was a success and we shot a lot more promotional videos together.

Nothing can do that better than great video to show off their amazing store and wide range of products. I did store videos, product videos, costumer-experience videos and of course, the amazing Asian party looks could not miss.
