Hong Kong is a state growing against itself. Its very convenient location made it a very interesting and strategic location for many and it is interesting to see how such a small country can condensate such diversity in its population and landscapes. The cultural mix between the United Kingdom and China makes it a big strange. A good kind of strange though. If you’re looking for big and busy, they have it. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, they do too! And they keep the traditions alive from both cultures!
Take your camera and see through it the never ending sky scrapers, the indecipherable signs everywhere you look, all the shops full of tiny little colourful things, and the culturally mixed mass of people that makes Hong Kong such a special place. You can then continue exploring weird cultural remixes in Macau, where the Portuguese left their mark on Chinese territory. Definitely worth a visit. (Year: 2018)
