Thailand was the first Asian country I have ever visited and I can still re-live in my head the moment when the airport door opened and I felt its humid heat for first time. I just loved it and I often find myself missing that cosy and welcoming feeling everyone else seems to avoid. It was also a very pleasant culture shock. It felt like that was real and everything else I knew was artificial. Thai lifestyle had me in love, the nature was just insane, and the food is still one of my favourites. But the absolutely best thing about Thailand is its people’s smiles and generosity. They make you feel at home, wherever you are and regardless of who you are and where you come from. Years later, having visited a few times and knowing its neighbours Malaysia and Cambodia, I think I understand it even better and love it even more! (Years: 2015 and 2019)
