Being Portuguese, it is always nice to go back “home”. Madeira is a Portuguese archipelago situated in the North Atlantic Ocean, part of the Macaronesia. Its steady warm climate really makes you feel welcome and the landscapes are just unbelievable. It brings me back memories from the most occidental islands of the Canary Islands, not only because of its views, the nature, architecture, and warmth of the local folk too. This island feels like a parallel universe from the rest of Portugal and it is just beautiful. (Year: 2020)
