Taiwan was an unexpected trip, full of unexpected surprises. Having a little bit of everything, this island country is a good mixture of urban and rural lifestyles. A great modern city, beautiful green mountains and lakes, amazing wildlife. It reminded me of Tenerife, on the Canary Islands, Spain, just on the other side of the world.
I can’t help to compare Taiwan with China, Japan, Korea. It’s different, thing’s are done in a different and very specific way, the food is cooked differently. They have their own culture and being apart from the continent makes it easy to keep it that way.
North to south, Taiwan is definitely worth a visit. (Year: 2018)
